Sapient Capital Adds New York Partner, Continues Build-Out

Sapient Capital, the wealth advisory firm with more than $23 billion in assets, has appointed Joshua Mandelbaum as a partner and advisor in its New York office.
Mandelbaum’s arrival comes after David Larado, who concentrates on hiring private wealth advisors, came on board the firm last week.
“Sapient’s employee-ownership structure, partnership with Lee Equity, impressive technology, and robust family office solutions provide the ideal environment for me to deliver tailored, holistic service to my clients,” Mandelbaum said.
Mandelbaum draws on 17 years of experience from JP Morgan Private Bank, where he began his career after graduating from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in 2008. He served as a managing director for his most recent five years at JP Morgan Private Bank.
Sapient Capital is headquartered in Indianapolis, with offices in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York.
Sapient's team of wealth advisors includes Jeff Cohen, Tom Pence, and Jamie Knall. James Rooney, the CEO, was previously CEO of Corient Capital and Freestone Capital Management. The chief financial officer, Liz Ewing, was CFO of consumer and wealth business at Goldman Sachs, working at the US firm’s executive office and controllers’ division. The chief legal and compliance officer at Sapient is Max Rijkenberg. Sapient’s alternative investment platform is headed by Karim Khairallah.
